14 month old not sleeping through the night?

My son has never been a good sleeper. We did do some Ferber at 6 months and he goes to bed awake at night and puts him self to sleep. However starting at 8 months he had three solid months of ear infections and finally got tubes. Starting sleeping through for a short time then family in, seperation anxiety, slept through 6 nights. Went in for 1 year well baby and shots kept him up for night or two and then he caught a strain of the coxsackie virus which was HORRIBLE!!!!!! He was up numerous times screaming. Finally over that, now teething, went on vacation. Now we are home and he still has some teeth coming through but don't really seem to bother him. He is still waking once a night and yes I give him a bottle and some Orajel naturals and he goes right back down. Wondering how many of you out there had similar experiences and when they finally did sleep through the night. I am not interested in crying it out. Just curious when your little ones finally slept through. Those that had babies that have slept great their whole lives need not reply, we get it, your lucky. :)
