Are my sleep hours normal or will I gain weight?

There is no relationship between the number of hours sleep you have and your weight put simply. Where this falls down is what you do in your waking hours. You sound intelligent so if while you are awake you eat then you will put on weight; weight (excess) is mainly due to eating too much of the wrong types of food and a lack of burning off your body fat tissue. Your diet and exercise program will control your weight and not the amount of sleep your body needs.
