What is wrong with my house?

okay in my room , its always dark , the windows have blankets on them , no light that would make random streaks of lights go across my ceiling . it will be at any time and yhu look around and then a short streak of light with cross the ceiling looking like a lightening bolt . but its always short and will start out of no where and disappear shortly after ?
